OXFORD PRESERVATION TRUST ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS 2009

North Hinksey Parish Council entered the Nature Reserve for a Oxford Preservation Trust Award 2009. At the Awards evening there were 26 nominations in four different categories.
The nature reserve was entered in the 'landscape' category and the following three projects had been nominated for the Awards evening:
North Hinksey Nature Reserve (North Hinksey Parish Council) With considerable financial help from Kevin Minns.
The new Bonn Square (Oxford City Council)
Pavement and Road Junction Improvement, Banbury Road, Summertown (Oxfordshire County Council).
At the first stage the Pavement and Road Junction Improvement, Banbury Road, Summertown project for Oxfordshire County Council was given a COMMENDATION.
At the second stage the new Bonn Square project for Oxford City Council was awarded CERTIFICATE.
This then left the North Hinksey Nature Reserve as the category winner and the project was awarded an OXFORD PRESERVATION TRUST AWARD 2009 PLAQUE and a CERTIFICATE.
Parish Councillors Mrs. B. A. Newport and Mrs. J. Bartlam, along with Kevin Minns collected the awards.
